The Democratic Party of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE) strengthened democratic processes at the Great World Dialogue of Political Parties, held in Beijing, China.
The Equatorial Guinean diplomatic delegation was led by the PDGE Secretary General Jerónimo Osa Osa Ecoro, as well as the Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to China.
Equatorial Guinea has participated actively in peace, human rights, and democratic forums all over the world. The Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, previously led PDGE national campaigns for constitutional reforms, increased government transparency, the creation of a bicameral legislature, limitation of presidential terms, and an expanded representational democracy in Equatorial Guinea.
The meeting was focused on democratic values and featured routine debates between political parties from Africa, Asia, and the United States.
Over 200 world leaders from different political organizations in more than 120 countries attended the meeting, with over 600 participants in total.
