The Republic of Equatorial Guinea, through its Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Crisantos Obama Ando, advanced the protection and promotion of human rights and cultural awareness throughout the world with the recent publication of “Africa and its Culture for Democracy.”
The Ambassador received the highest award available from the Ibero-American Educational Excellence Brand (Exibed) in recognition of his cultural, diplomatic, and academic activities.
The Ambassador highlighted the importance of promoting respect for human values and the value of empathy in putting oneself in the place of another.
Equatorial Guinea has made great strides over the years and significant progress on human rights, including the temporary amnesty against the death penalty, the plan of action to combat human trafficking, the implementation of the Children’s Parliament, the improvement of education for all Equatorial Guineans, and the complete abolition of child labor.
