The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, concluded the successful VI Table for National Political Dialogue following seven days of debates and proposals.

The President received praise from numerous international non-governmental organizations for the spirit and maturity of the dialogue.

The sessions saw interventions by numerous political parties, including the PDGE, UP, CLD, PSD, ADP, CPDS, CNGE, UCD, PCSD, PSD, UNDGE, PND, APG, CNGE, and UDS.

Equatorial Guinea has highlighted the importance of government work in Malabo as well as rural areas to further strengthen security, education, health services, domestic violence preventions, and public safety for all Equatoguineans.

The President recently expanded Equatorial Guinea’s democratic process by opening the National Political Dialogue to leaders from constitutional bodies, members of Government and political parties, and representatives from international institutions.

The President promised economic support to any Equatoguinean living overseas who wishes to take part in the Dialogue, and called for a legislation solution to integrate political activists who currently live outside the country.

The VI Table for National Dialogue, led by the President, brought together high-level government officials, political parties, and diaspora political activists. The Representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General and the Representative of the European Union (EU) also participated in the dialogue sessions.
