Ceiba, the national airline of Equatorial Guinea, opened a new route from the capital city of Malabo to Bamako, Mali.
The flight duration is just under three hours and is part of Ceiba’s effort to expand more direct routes to other African countries.
The Director General of Ceiba, Bienvenido Esono Engonga Okomo, welcomed the Ambassador of Mali to Equatorial Guinea, Amadou Dem, to travel the inaugural flight and hailed relations between the two countries.
Equatorial Guinea and Mali recently signed bilateral aviation agreements to expand the efficiency and frequency of air travel.
The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Luciano Esono Biteghe, highlighted the expansion of trade, tourism, and cultural relations the newly opened route will promote.
