The Equatorial Guinea Permanent Representative to the UN, Anatolio Ndong Mba, reiterated its request to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations (UN) Security Council and urged them for their vote and trust in favor of Equatorial Guinea for the position.
The Permanent Representative to the UN outlined Equatorial Guinea’s aim to contribute toward the resolution of conflicts on an international level through dialogue, as well as the importance of the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development.
Equatorial Guinea has called for equitable representation in the Security Council in order to adapt and tackle new challenges in the world today.
The official Equatorial Guinea bid for candidacy began on 12 April. The Republic of Ivory Coast is contending for the position as well.
