The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), Andrés Jorge Mbomio Nsem Abua, participated in the 40thOrdinary General Assembly of the African Football Confederation (CAF).
The Assembly focused on appointing new members to the Executive Committee and reviewing the budget for the upcoming year.
The Assembly, which was held in Casablanca, Morocco, was also attended by the President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the President of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), the Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and a representative of the President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
Equatorial Guinea has hosted international sporting events in the past, including the 2016 FEGUIFUT Cup. The event showcased Equatorial Guinea’s world-class sporting facilities and the increasing importance of soccer and athletics in the country.
