The Ambassador of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in the United States, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna Ándeme, met with the White House Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council, Cyril Sartor, and high-level officials at the US Department of Commerce, strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
In his discussions with the Director for African Affairs, the Ambassador discussed areas of cooperation in the United Nations Security Council, as well as progress made in West Africa in regards to security and the trafficking of persons.
In the Ambassador’s meeting with the Department of Commerce, he highlighted Equatorial Guinea’s progress with the country’s Horizon 2020 sustainable development program.
The Ambassador also outlined investment opportunities in Equatorial Guinea to the US private sector.
The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the US has been actively strengthening ties with his various counterparts. He recently met with high-level officials at the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as with high-level officials at the US Department of State.
