The Republic of Equatorial Guinea strengthened bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Kingdom’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir visit to the country.
The Foreign Minister was received by the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Guinea Agapito Mba Mokuy.
The high-level officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations and future cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Equatorial Guinea enjoys close economic relations with the Kingdom, and hosted the first Equatorial Guinea – Saudi Arabia Economic Forum in Jeddah earlier in the year, as well as the Arab-Africa World Forum last year.
Most recently, the Minister of Economy, Planning, and Public Investments travelled to the Kingdom for the Investment Initiatives Forum for the Future, where he met with high-level officials from the Kingdom to discuss and sign key agreements regarding economic development of energy, agriculture, fisheries, and mining.
