The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, strengthened the country’s agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors on a recent visit to the city of Mongomo.
The President oversaw the agriculture facilities and processes for production of various food staples, including peanut paste and corn flour.
The President highlighted the importance of agriculture and livestock cultivation as a way to sustain rural families and towns.
Equatorial Guinea is committed to the creation of jobs in the agriculture sector in line with sustainable development under the country’s Horizon 2020 program. In line with the Goals, Equatorial Guinea has made great strides over the years, including major reductions in the risk of maternal and infant mortality; free health service and drugs for youth and the elderly; the implementation of progressive gender equality policies; and electricity and sanitation for all citizens.
